Whether you’ve been blogging for years, months or even days, there’s no doubt that Facebook Groups for bloggers can have a significant impact on your success, not only for traffic but for building connections too. There are tons of Facebook Groups out there, with hundreds of different focuses, but nearly all are primarily aimed at collaboration and community building. It’s a great place to ask questions, gain knowledge and advice from your fellow blogging friends.
As the number of Facebook Groups for bloggers is a little overwhelming, we’ve put together a list of ten of our favourites that aim to help and encourage bloggers and digital nomads. There’s even a brand new group created by us! Whoop Whoop!
Before we jump right in. What’s the big deal with Facebook Groups for Bloggers? Why should you join them & what should you expect?
Facebook Groups are communities of people who are invited or accepted into this group by the owner/creator. Within these groups, depending on the niche, guidelines and rules, you’re able to ask for feedback, advice and questions you have and connect with others that share similar goals to you. Many even let you promote your social media channels and new blog posts in daily threads (like ours!). But with the heaps of groups out there, how can you tell which ones are best? Here are some of the best ones we’ve come across:
Blogging to Success
Hey that’s ours! Blogging to Success is our little corner of Facebook. It’s pretty much brand new, and is a place to learn, grow, and connect with other people who “get it”. We’re SO excited to introduce this to you and can’t wait for the future! Like our name suggests, it’s a place for bloggers to succeed with the help and community of others. Whoop Whoop!
Blogger Hangout is our favourite smaller Facebook Group for bloggers, it’s still fairly new compared to other larger groups but by no means rule this one out. It’s a great place to ask questions, promote your posts and build a strong community as it’s smaller. Serena, the owner of the group is also one of the nicest and down to earth bloggers around!
Making Sense of Cents Community
Many of you may have already heard of Michelle Schroeder-Gardner for her amazing and highly recommend Affiliate Marketing Course – Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing (read our review of it here!), and her Facebook Group is just as great! Welcoming bloggers and entrepreneurs of any niche, she has an extensive group of over 7,000 members.
With over 17,000 members it’s one of the more mature and largest groups on our list. That doesn’t mean to say it’s too saturated and your questions will get lost in the group. Sometimes the more members, the more answers and help you will receive. The host, Mckinzie has daily threads, from sharing blog posts, to social media and feedback Friday. There is also lots going on in this Facebook Group for bloggers.
Blogging Boost is an incredible place for new bloggers, with 27,500+ member and growing it’s definitely a knowledgable place to learn the basics of blogging. This group is very active and the members share plenty of tips about the tricks and tools necessary for running a blog. It’s also an awesome place to ask questions and get feedback.
Boost Your Blog
Another mature Facebook Group for bloggers is Boost Your Blog. It is a private community designed to help bloggers engage and promote one another’s work through shared interest and opportunity. It is a place to ask questions, connect with others, and grow your blog.
We are big fans of Blogging 101, as it’s a great hang out place for bloggers of all abilities, super inclusive! With thousands of members you’re bound to find a great deal of knowledge and support. It’s a place to share traffic building methods, income streams, blogging resources, ask questions and to have fun!
As we are a travel blog, the final three Facebook Groups for Bloggers are geared towards travel. Thus, only travel bloggers can join these three. We are members of many travel groups, but these three are our personal favourites.
We Travel We Blog
We Travel We Blog is a great community for beginners to intermediate travel bloggers, and for those wanting to take their travel blogging to the next level, whilst wanting to learn from others who are doing the same thing. It was one of the first Facebook Groups for bloggers that we joined, and we’re so glad we did!
Ultimate Travel Group (UTG)
Perfect for travel bloggers of any level and stage. UTG is a place to find the best blogging and travel advice, deals, giveaways, opportunities and more. We love that the admins think of us all more as family than members, as we believe that’s what a group should stand for.
Pinterest for Travel Bloggers
This last Facebook Group for bloggers is a little different, as it’s super specific, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worthwhile. Pinterest is a must have for any blogger, whether you’re travel, fashion, finance etc it will bring you huge amounts of traffic if implemented right. This group has boosted our Pinterest account miles and is now our biggest traffic referral! If you’re a travel blogger, then you need to join this group!
Facebook Groups for bloggers can be a real hit or miss, we’ve seen the good, the bad and the downright ugly. When seeking out great blogging communities, we always look for more support than spam. We’ve personally joined groups simply for the fact that it had a ton of members, only to find out that less than half were ever really active-or people were just spamming the page for likes. It can be tempting to join as many as possible when you first start, but to truly gain knowledge and loyal readers, a select few might be the best option, therefore not overwhelming yourself. It’s better to be truly engaged in a few groups than sporadic and inconsistent in a lot of them.
